``` MSPAS, PA-C · Founder of Rayma Health I’m a board-certified physician assistant and certified functional medicine practitioner. I help people get to the root of complex chronic conditions — from cancer and cognitive decline to autoimmunity, Lyme, and the chronic illnesses no one has been able to name. My path into medicine started with a question I couldn’t stop asking: why does the body break down the way it does, and what is it really trying to say? That question carried me through a Bachelor of Science in Biokinetics — with an emphasis in human bioenergetics and a minor in psychology — at Bethel University, and into research on the role of nutrition in reversing chronic disease. I co-authored published papers on how diet shapes diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and mild cognitive impairment. The pattern was unmistakable: the body listens to what we feed it, far more than conventional care gives it credit for. I went on to earn my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Des Moines University. My early career took me from a Medical Mission Coordinator role in the Philippines back to my home state of Minnesota, working with patients navigating complex chronic conditions. I watched too many people leave appointment after appointment with prescriptions but no real answers. I knew there had to be a deeper, more personalized way to practice. That conviction became Rayma Health. I built it to be a different kind of practice — one rooted in functional and integrative medicine, where healing means treating the whole person, not the symptom on the chart. Today I’m a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Bredesen Protocol Certified for the reversal of cognitive decline, and a Certified Metabolic Approach to Cancer (MAPC) Provider through Nasha Winters’ program. I continue my advanced training under the mentorship of Dr. Thomas Seyfried, PhD, one of the world’s leading metabolic cancer researchers, and collaborate with nutritional oncology expert Miriam Kalamian on ketogenic and metabolic therapy cases. My clinical focus is on metabolic therapies for cancer, cognitive decline, autoimmune conditions, gut health, hormonal imbalances, environmental toxicity, and Lyme disease. I design customized, evidence-informed care plans for each patient — integrating tools like nutritional IV therapies, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), therapeutic fasting, and advanced lifestyle medicine. My philosophy is simple: empower people to become active partners in their own healing, and give them the tools and the science to make it real. “Healing happens when we treat the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — with curiosity, time, and respect.” You’ll find me out on the water fishing with my husband and our three young boys, in the kitchen experimenting with clean, real-food cooking, or quietly practicing calligraphy when I need to slow down. I’m a constant learner. The medicine I practice keeps evolving — and staying curious is what keeps me a better practitioner for the people I serve. If any of this resonates, I’d love to hear your story. Book a consult and we’ll take it from there.
